The candidate will support the CFO, CSO, 2 Managing Directors and 1 Partner. The ideal candidate will have prior financial experience and be a team player.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage all day-to-day activities, including all internal and external communications

- Manage very busy calendar

- Arrange all travel logistics including domestic and international travel

- Handle heavy telephone and email inquiries from high level executives and clients and respond as appropriate

- Prepare routine and advanced correspondence including letters, emails, and reports

- Managing confidential materials

- Ad Hoc projects, as needed

 

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5 years of Executive Assistant experience, preferably in the finance industry

- Strong Microsoft Office skills

- A professional appearance, poise, discretion, and high level of integrity are also critical

- Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and tolerating frequent interruptions

- Must have a positive attitude and a good sense of humor

- Experience with complex travel and calendars

Family Office Accountant:

The Family Office Accountant will be responsible for working with the Chief Financial Officer and Controller of a multi-strategy hedge fund in providing home office accounting, cash flow management support and reporting for the Partners.  There will be extensive interaction with Senior Management as existing processes are refined.  Responsibilities will include:

 

-       Preparing monthly Partner net worth statements.

-       Reviewing Partner investments on a monthly basis.

-       Projecting cash flows (sources and uses).

-       Calculating periodic Partner distributions.

-       Accounting for a complex multi-partnership structure (management company).

-       Accounting and administering Partner personal investment and estate structures.

-       Tracking and reconciling cash flows – receipts, distributions, wire transfers, etc.

-       Liaising with external accountants and bankers.

-       Compiling data for quarterly estimated tax payments and coordinating information for the annual tax return.

 

Skills:  Ability to analyze financial information, self motivated, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications:  General accounting experience in a financial services or investment business or as an accountant in a family office, in addition to the qualifications listed below:

 

-       Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting  

-       Prefer candidates with experience providing accounting, tax or bookkeeping services to high net worth individuals, buy-side firm where confidentiality is a must

-       Discrete, pro-active, possessing a high level of common sense.
