Five Towns based internet start up is in search of a web developer/programmer to develop the back-end of our site.

Job Description:

We are looking for an entrepreneurial-minded Web Developer and Programmer to lead development efforts and to grow our company. In addition to collaborating with the executive team on concept and design, this person will be responsible for the overall management of the site including development, documentation and implementation of Internet-based applications that support our critical business operations.

Requirements:
Applicants must be comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment and should be fluent in data aggregation, server scripting and administration in a Linux environment, lead generation, SEO techniques, and the popular Web 2.0 APIs.

Required Technical Skills:

• Experience coding efficient web applications using AJAX, PHP, SQL.
• Systems Administration experience managing a LAMP environment, including automating tasks with PHP scripts and cron.
• Experience with data aggregation and integration with third party APIs, web services, and social networking.
• Strong understanding of OO design and a commitment to best practices, including documentation.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and managing=2 0at least one web project successfully through the entire SDLC.

Additionally, this position requires:

• Entrepreneurial and self-directed; always seeking ways to create value. Committed to understanding the users needs, not just the technical requirements.
• Motivated and qualified to take on a technical leadership role as team and product offering grows.
• Must maintain code written by others.

• Extremely attentive to details. A multi-tasker who can resolve competing priorities, and meet project deadlines.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelors degree from a recognized four-year university or equivalent. BS in computer science preferred.
