Senior Business Analyst
Position Summary:
Touro College is seeking an energetic, resourceful, and creative person to analyze and evaluate the business processes and the use of applications and the web that are part of these processes; Research IT technologies that are available to improve these processes; assist with system design changes and/or enhancements to the application software to improve the quality, quantity and accessibility of information that is available; and act as a facilitator of the overall process.

Primarily this role will conduct complex, in-depth analytical studies, design complex business processes and re-engineer existing processes within the context of an integrated College-wide Information Management System and perform related work as required.
 
Typical activities include:
·         Conduct sensitive and/or complex business systems analysis and design, data modeling, process flow modeling and process engineering.
·         Perform fact finding activities in customer departments to determine if existing processes could be enhanced with existing technology and software tools. Research new technology including hardware and software applications available to assist departments in meeting their business needs.
·         Work with user and development groups to identify and document system recommendations for current and future development; work with users to refine processes and procedures guidelines.
·         Conduct research and compile information and statistics to assist with developing conceptual designs for both functional and technical (i.e., interface requirements, conversion requirements, reports, etc.) business processes to ensure effective and cost efficient services.
·         Design, develop and recommend new or enhanced business processes in support of new or enhanced information systems and technology; prepares business cases including cost/benefit analysis for proposed processes.
·         Prepare and present written and oral reports containing detailed findings and recommendations to address a variety of administrative issues, improve services and operations, and evaluate functions and programs.
·         Work with technical staff to create a design concept to address those issues.
·         Assimilate, sort, and translate complex technical information into concise, understandable, practical information and then determine priorities, plan workload and meet deadlines.
·         Assist OIT management in the development of performance measurements including workload, efficiency and effectiveness indicators
·         Participate in the development of the training plan for new business procedures and systems to ensure optimum effectiveness.
 
Experience/Qualifications Required:

Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience leading multiple strategic projects. Experience in Higher Education a big plus.
·         Bachelors Degree, related to computer information systems or equivalent.
·         Business Analyst or Project Management Professional Certifications a plus.

Demonstrate experience in successful project management and the delivery lifecycle for technology driven projects (critical).

Strong organizational and process improvement skills.
Strong analytic and problem solving skills.
Ability to learn quickly and solve poorly defined problems.
Ability to develop strong relationships and personal credibility with the user community.
Understanding how needs/requirements can be incorporated into the delivery of the solution.
Must excel in an environment of ambiguity by quickly adapting behavior and work methods to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
A self-starter that is highly motivated.
Ability to work well individually and within a team.
Ability to demonstrate empathy for user issues; understanding the balance between customization and commodity to produce effective business solutions for the benefit of the College.
Demonstrate product knowledge to further projects and maintain relationships with the business users.
Should have a good understanding of when communication to stakeholders/users is required and formulate effective communication plans to meet their needs.
Demonstrate organization skills and manage priorities across assigned activities/tasks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Effective time management skills.

Program Coordinator, Portal and Design Implementation
Position Summary:
Touro College is seeking an energetic, resourceful, and creative person to develop and maintain the overall strategy and approach for Touro's campus portal technologies and to create a vision to align our students experience with the overall Touro educational mission. This includes the faculty, students and staff, as well as other relevant stakeholders.

Primarily this role will maintain cross functional relationships with stakeholders to develop and prioritize portal initiatives as well as working closely with Touro's technology department and vendors. Other responsibilities will include brand management, enterprise communications, training, development and project management as it relates to portal technologies.
Typical activities include:
·         Following Touro's strategic plan, and working with student services, academic and marketing departments to deliver a consistent Touro student experience.
·         Function as project manager for all aspects of the portal, working closely with IT resources and relevant vendors to accomplish goals.
·         Develop training plans and work closely with functional trainers to provide training and support for portal technology users.
·         Develop enterprise communication plans and messaging to maintain awareness of portal updates and releases.
·         Work with IT resources to track portal update progress, identify and resolve configuration issues and plan enhancements to portals.
·         Monitor security settings, create content reports and troubleshoot discrepancies.
·         Implement regular portal content updates and additions.
 
Experience Required:
·         A minimum of 5 years' experience developing and managing complex web sites and content management systems.
·         3-5 years relevant work experience in higher education, preferably in a technology-intensive environment.
·         A degree in marketing, communications, information technology or related field.
·         Project management experience through user requirement studies, planning, implementation, acceptance testing and deployment.
·         Strong communication skills in coordinating with stakeholders, IT staff and vendors and in training and supporting end users.
·         Experience with translating stakeholder needs to project requirements and mediating between technical and non-technical staff.
·         Experience with managing changes and priority dynamics.
·         Working knowledge of production systems and testing methodologies; effective problem-solving and organizational skills; ability to work as a team player with a strong customer service focus.
