Hospital in Brooklyn seeks:  Patient Transport Manager 

 Hours are Sunday- Thursday 3pm -11pm

The patient Transport Manager will be responsible for the scheduling and assignment of the daily activities of the Patient Transport Staff as well as system administrator of teletracking software technologies. The patient transport manager will assure the safe and efficient transportation of patients throughout the hospital. Must demonstrate the ability to prevent and resolve problems relating to transport. Facilitates processes on a daily basis to expedite patient's movement within the hospital.  In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, and adhering to patient centered care principles, facilitates movement of patients throughout the organization.  Co-ordinates, prioritizes and optimizes patient flow activities in conjunction with the Patient Flow Supervisor and other Clinical and Administrative personnel.

Requirements:

High School Graduate, Bachelor Degree strongly preferred. Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience required. Hospital background preferred. Ability to learn the layout of the facility in an expeditious manner. Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.

This individual will design, develop, analyze, implement, test, and support various databases. Administer performance and tuning enhancements, data import/export and data integrity verification. Serve as a technical liaison to the system user community and vendors regarding database issues, analysis, data conversion, user permission and database access, testing, and enhancements. Analyze and troubleshoot complex database and application problems. Develop database queries and reports as needed to support user and system needs of the academic, administrative, clinical, and research functions of the college. Assess and assure the accuracy, reliability, confidentiality, integrity, availability, and auditability of mission critical and sensitive data in database systems in compliance with University and college policies and practices and applicable federal, state, local, and healthcare-related regulations. Review, evaluate and recommend changes to policies
and procedures regarding databases and applications to improve system efficiency, database performance, and customer service.
Qualifications/Required Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and
Preferred Education Industry recognized certified database administrator, e.g., MCDBA, MCITP, or equivalent.
Required Experience 3 years' related experience or an equivalent combination. Must include DBA experience with MS Windows Servers and MS SQL (2000/2005, or higher), DBA-level experience with Oracle (8i/9i/10g, or higher), database design, programming, system analysis, and database maintenance.
Preferred Experience Experience in a healthcare setting. Experience with Dentrix Enterprise, or similar system.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team-/project-oriented environment. Willingness to learn new technical skills and accommodate evolving technologies. Knowledge of MS SQL, Oracle, database systems, database design and analysis.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Familiarity with MySQL and Access database systems, and XML.
